Comments Policy

Just so no one is confused, I’m going to set out my comments policy here.

  1. Anonymous comments are disabled. You must provide a name and email address. (It doesn’t have to be the name on your birth certificate, but it does help if it matches your email address.)
  2. First time comments will be held for moderation. Once I’ve approved your first comment, any future comments should post without a hitch. Unless…
  3. Comments with 3 or more links will be held for moderation. If you’ve got a bunch of good links you’d like to add to the comments thread, consider splitting them up into multiple comments.
  4. I reserve the right to delete any comments I find spammish, offensive, or annoying. I reserve the right to change my mind about what I find spammish, offensive, or annoying at any time without any notice.

Articles 1, 2, and 3 are designed to discourage spammers. (I have to clear the spam filter for my work’s blog. I’d rather do that than manually delete comments.) Articles 1 & 4 are designed to prevent trolling.

Next goal, a blog popular enough that I actually have to worry about these things!
